Loving people pre-arrange for two reasons...
Financial Need
- It makes sense to secure today's pricing for items you will ultimately need. Knowing you won't be charged twice in the future.
- You can make payments over time, customized to your specific budget.
- Many people plan for things that COULD happen, such as purchasing hail or flood insurance. Why not prepare for something that WILL happen?
Emotional Need
- Allow your family the peace of mind to not guess what you would have wanted.
- Allow your family the opportunity to mourn and grieve without second guessing their decisions for you.
- You have tackled other aspects of your life and planning for your family...allow this to be another sign of love you do for them.
But I have life insurance...
We believe everyone should have life insurance for their survivors. Some things to consider however:
- Most insurance policies do not grow in their death benefit. That amount from decades prior may not cover all wishes in the future.
- Life insurance dollars will never make decisions. It may fulfill the financial need of the family, but not the emotional need.
- Some life insurance policies have conditions to payouts due to manner of death.
- Our funeral home, like most, will require payment in full prior to cremation or burial. Not all policies are assignable in this manner.
